In 2008, a small group of venture philanthropists, inspired by the opportunity to create change in Duval County's public education system, invested in the creation of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund. Since that time, the Jacksonville Public Education Fund has been the catalyst for a movement in public education, dedicated to the type of change that requires a community vision and a long-term commitment to the research and action needed to make the vision a reality.
