EDTalks: learn from education thought leaders and innovators

EDTalks is an annual speaker series designed to bring thought leaders and innovators in education to the forefront in Duval County. From pedagogical experts to computer engineers, EDTalks will host persons who are making an impact in the field of education. This expansive approach allows for presentations from superintendents who have turned around school districts to experimental researchers to innovators who have developed cutting-edge technology. In order to be at the forefront of education, we must know what others are doing successfully to learn from them. EDTalks provides that opportunity.

The First Annual EDTalks, the Speaker Series brought together Jacksonville residents and key business and community leaders who are recognizing that in order to ensure all children have access to high-quality education, it is going to take all of us working together, committing significant resources and time to achieve this important and momentous change. From pedagogical experts to computer engineers, JPEF's annual EDTalks events will host persons who are making an impact in the field of education and put them in front of Jacksonville residents and leaders. This year's inaugural event featured keynote speaker Geoffrey Canada, founder of the Harlem Children's Zone, and honorary chair Dr. Diana Greene, superintendent of Duval County Public Schools.
