Volunteer Spotlight: Mother and daughter duo moving public education forward

April is volunteer Appreciation month and the Jacksonville Public Education Fund would like to take the time out to show our gratitude to those who have dedicated time and service to assist us in our efforts in Moving Public Education Forward in Duval County. The ability for volunteers to work for the betterment of their community speaks volumes on the what they aspire for their communities and school to look like in the future.

Volunteer Spotlight 2015

This month we salute our volunteers Diane Hollister and Jenna Purvis for their time and dedication in assisting the Jacksonville Public Education Fund in Moving Public Education Forward.

Here's a couple of reasons why Diane and Jenna spend time volunteering with our organization:

We are passionate about public education because it is the knowledge needed for our children to achieve things in life.

What we like about volunteering for JPEF is getting to meet new people and the getting the informative information that came from the group discussions.

We have only been volunteering with  JPEF for a short time, but we have learned so much. Our favorite role has been being a greeter and guide (getting people to their destinations).

We help move public education forward by learning new information to pass along to others.

It is important to know that volunteers are the backbone of any system, we help motivate and spread the information during the time that its given to us to learn.
