Josiah, or Joe, Phillips is the chief information officer for Broward County Public Schools and held the same position at Volusia County Public Schools and Kansas City Public Schools from 2018-2022. As the Chief Information Officer for Broward County Public Schools, he currently leads the IT Division for the 6th largest school district in the U.S., managing a $5 Billion+ budget, over 350,000 students, and 35,000 staff.

Transitioning from an Army Officer to an educational leader, Dr. Phillips looks to blend his strategic insight, operational expertise, and leadership acumen honed from diverse roles. Dr Phillips looks to effectively apply strategic planning, resource management, and data-driven decision-making skills to drive success in the educational sector.

Dr. Phillips has a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri, a master’s degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University and an education doctorate from Liberty University.
