School Board votes to change name of Forrest High School

The Duval County School Board decided unanimously to rename Nathan Bedford Forrest High School on Jacksonville's west side at a meeting last night. The change comes after nearly two months of community debate and discussion about the issue.

Today we received some great news about Duval County Public Schools' graduation rate. Under the relatively new federal calculation, Duval County's 4-year graduation rate is up to 72.1 percent, up from 67.7 percent just last year!
