At today's Duval County School Board workshop, Education Resource Strategies presented the final report to the district, a product of a year's worth of work to discover ways the district can maximize its limited resources.

Last night, history was made at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. A record crowd - over 1,000 people - attended the opening event for the ONE in THREE exhibit and launch of the ONE by ONE campaign.

ONE by ONE makes media splash

Thanks to some outstanding media coverage, the ONE by ONE campaign is generating substantial interest around town!

The exhibit is now up and running, as is the ONEbyONEjax.org website, and here at the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, we are readying for the big Community Opening event scheduled for Tuesday, September 13 from 4-8 p.m.

'Teachable Moments' elevates the voices of our best educators

On Sunday, The Florida Times-Union, in partnership with our friends at The Community Foundation in Jacksonville and WJCT, launched "Teachable Moments." This excellent series is a project of The Philanthropic Initiative of The Community Foundation in Jacksonville and highlights successful public school educators in Northeast Florida-specifically Florida Blue EDDY Awards Teacher of the Year finalists.
