1,000 ratifications for the Community Agreement and going strong!

1/18/2013

Voting at the Community Agreement ConventionLess than two weeks ago, ONE by ONE delegates gathered to create a Community Agreement for our public schools based on the priorities that YOU identified:
    •    Educate the whole child.
    •    Great teachers and leaders.
    •    Policy and political reform.
    •    Parent and caregiver involvement.

We are excited to tell you that as of this afternoon, the Community Agreement has been ratified by more than 1,000 people! The momentum for public education in Jacksonville has never been stronger, and it's all thanks to your hard work.

If you haven't already, join Mayor Alvin Brown and citizens from all over Duval County in showing your support for these priorities, which were identified in 169 ONE by ONE conversations. Your voice is being heard!

RATIFICATIONBUTTON

If you have ratified, would you tell five friends to do the same? With your help, the goal of 2,000 ratifications by March 1 should be blown out of the water! (Need printed copies instead? Let us know!)

We hope to see you on Monday at the parade honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Thank you for making public education a top priority in this city. Your voice is making a difference! Superintendent Nikolai Vitti has pledged to use these priorities in creating the district's strategic plan. We will continue to keep you informed as your words turn into action, and in the meantime, keep checking jaxpef.org for more frequent updates.

P.S. Check out the photos from the Community Agreement Convention!
