2012 Mayor's Summer Jobs program

WorkSource is recruiting students between the ages of 16 and 21 for the 2012 Mayor's Summer Jobs program.  The program provides the opportunity for 185 Duval County youth to earn valuable experience working in various facets of city government.  The program includes a week of training (Monday, June 18th through Friday, July 27th) as well has five, 20-hour weeks of work.  Program information and applications can be found on the WorkSource website. WorkSource is accepting applications between April 6 and April 27.
Program Eligibility Requirements:
Youth ages 16-21 who have a desire to make a difference in their community and want to gain valuable job skills.
Must live in Zone 1 (one of the following zip codes: 32202, 32204, 32206, 32208, 32209, 32254).
Must be attending school (high school, college, or trade school).
Must have a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or higher.
Must have no more than 4 unexcused absences.
Must pass drug test.
