Voting at the Community Agreement Convention

Some said we were crazy.

Kick off the new year by asking the city's most committed education advocates to spend seven hours on a Saturday drafting a plan for public education?

You proved the naysayers wrong. On January 4, 2013, something magical happened at the ONE by ONE Community Agreement Convention: A diverse group of people from around the city gathered to create a platform of priorities for public education in a city once so fractured that some said we could never come to a consensus.

More than 150 community delegates nominated by you created the Community Agreement that went on to be included in the Duval County Public Schools' strategic plan and has formed the framework for positive change in our city over the last year.

The excitement that day was so palpable that you asked to make the ONE by ONE Convention an annual event. We heard you, loud and clear!

So mark your calendars for the Second Annual ONE by ONE Convention on January 18, 2014 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

There, community delegates will assess key indicators of progress toward the priorities in the Community Agreement and make personal and collective commitments to advance the priorities.

Join us for this day of action! Nominate yourself or a passionate public education advocate that you know to be a delegate by December 18, 2013. Seats are limited!
