Cindy: New Board Chair

We are pleased to announce new leadership for the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund.

Since its birth in 2009, the Jacksonville Public Education Fund board has been chaired by Gary Chartrand. He was recently appointed to the State Board of Education, and is stepping down as chairman (he will remain active on the board) in order to devote the time needed be effective in his new role.

Educator and philanthropist Cindy Edelman, who until now served as vice chair, will replace him. The Rev. Torin Dailey, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Oakland becomes vice chair. Their leadership will continue to build on the great things JPEF has accomplished over the past three years.
