Things to do with your child this spring break

3/16/2015

Duval County public schools are out for spring break, March 16-20. As students take the opportunity to have a short break, we'd like to encourage families to spend time learning together.

Here's our roundup of family-friendly fun and educational things to do:

  • DCPS Parent Academy hosts different events including a Breakfast Learning Series on March 18 geared toward helping individuals raising children. Learn more.

  • Don't miss out on free admission to the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens on Tuesdays from 4-9 p.m.

  • Visit your local Jacksonville Public Library branch - there are plenty of literacy workshops and various events for children of all ages for you to choose from, with additional programming this week for spring break. Search now.

  • Keep your child's mind sharpened. Have your child spend 20 minutes per day on i-Ready or create homework assignments for the week.

We'd love to hear about your upcoming spring break activities?
