We're starting #GivingTuesday early! December 3 is the second annual GivingTuesday but we're in the spirit of giving thanks - especially to our Duval County public school teachers!

The Jacksonville Public Education Fund is participating in GivingTuesday because we believe in connecting citizens with public schools. we'd like to see community members come together to support teachers and students through PowerUP Jax, our new online portal that connects teachers with innovative ideas with community members who can fund them. Each week, we'll continue #GivingTuesday to spotlight teachers and their innovative projects through social media and our blog.

Since we're beginning something new and it's our first #GivingTuesday...  it's only right that we begin with spotlighting the first two teachers who presented at the PowerUP Jax regional launch in early November.

Rosalind Hoffman of Edward H. White High School has 17 days left to $650 so that students can operate a "Commander Central" store and learn various life skills including accounting, stock inventory and customer service to name a few. Give what you can today to support Hoffman and her students on #GivingTuesday.  Donate now!

Because of community support, John Meeks of Mayport Middle School project to provide 21st Century technology to 6th graders in World History was made possible.
