Upcoming School Facts Jax Training, May 29

5/14/2014

School Facts Jax is your one-stop shop for information about the progress and performance of Duval County Public Schools. Through the website, www.schoolfactsjax.org, what would otherwise be an arduous task of digging through databases, is now an easy-to-use, interactive experience with charts and visualizations bringing the district's data to life.

From key district-wide academic information, such as graduation rates for Duval County and every county in the state, to individual school information, this site brings all the data together in one place. Beyond the data there are also many other aspects of the site to explore including a resources section with information about Duval County Public Schools and other partner agencies - such as after school programs, PTAs and enrichment activities - that support students and families.

The School Facts Jax website is also home to "What's New", a source to learn more about some of the key policies and issues that are facing public education today. Check out the new What's New launched this week which allows you to interact with the enrollment trends and movement out of our county's public neighborhood schools.

We are excited to be hosting a training on School Facts Jax on May 29th at the Jacksonville Public Library Pablo Creek Branch from 6 to 7 p.m. where librarians often talk with parents seeking information about nearby schools. To learn about all the information and resources this School Facts Jax website has to offer to you and the Jacksonville community, be sure to  register to attend. Future trainings will be held at Jacksonville Public Library branches throughout the summer or can be requested for your individual organization or community group.
