Your feedback needed for superintendent search

4/11/2012
What characteristics do you want the next superintendent to have? Although the School Board is planning to hold community forums on the search for a new leader for Duval County Public Schools, no dates have yet been set. But they have established an Envisioning Committee, made up of a selected group of parents, students, educators and representatives of community organizations, including the Jacksonville Public Education Fund.
The Envisioning Committee members have been asked to develop a list of traits that the next superintendent should have, as well as an outline of the components of a globally competitive school district. We want YOU to have input into these two questions. And we need them quickly - the goal is to bring a summary of your ideas to the Envisioning Committee meeting on April 16. (Catch the webcast replay of the April 9 Envisioning Committee meeting here. See the School Board's initial work on fleshing out these two questions here and here.)
Take a moment to submit your ideas in the form below. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
