How the changes will affect Duval schools

School Grades Policy AlertOn February 28, 2012, the Florida State Board of Education is set to vote on a set of changes that has been the subject of significant concern to educators and parents in Duval County and around the state.
These changes are above and beyond those already adopted at the State Board's January meeting, when new cut scores were chosen based on the FCAT 2.0, the new standardized test that all public school students in Florida are required to take in grades 3-10. The previous test was known as the FCAT.
