2018 Teacher of the Year nominees announced

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 6, 2017 — The Jacksonville Public Education Fund’s Duval County Teacher of the Year EDDY Awards program seeks to celebrate the important contributions of Duval County's best public school teachers by building a network of exemplary teachers who are leaders in the community and who work to improve our schools, student performance and the teaching profession.

Please join us in congratulating the 175 educators that have been nominated as a Teacher of the Year at the school level!

The top five finalists for Duval County Teacher of the Year will be eligible to participate in a tailored summer fellowship program, connecting them with professional opportunities beyond the classroom such as community speaking engagements and opportunities to learn from and meet community, business and/or district leaders.

The 2018 Duval County Teacher of the Year will be announced at the 27th annual EDDY Awards Gala at the Hyatt Regency on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Duval’s Teacher of the Year will go on to compete for the state-level award.
