Attend a televised school board candidate forum on Oct. 20

10/11/2012

On Tuesday, November 6, voters will go to the polls with many important decisions to make.

In Duval County, one of the most important elections is the vote for Duval County School Board. District 3and District 7 are runoff elections that match up the top two vote-getters during the August primary.

On October 20, First Coast News and The Florida Times-Union will hold a televised forum with all four candidates running in the two districts and they want YOU to take part as an audience member. There will be an opportunity for questions - and if you can't make it, we'll be taking questions on a live blog and Twitter as well with the hashtag #SchoolBoard2012.

In the meantime, you can read all about the candidates and their positions at www.schoolboard2012.org, a partnership between the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, Duval County Council of PTAs, Save Duval Schools, Jacksonville Urban League and the Jacksonville Kids Coalition.

If you want to attend the forum, register below. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot us an e-mail (deirdre@jaxpef.org) or call (904) 356-7757.

Registration for the event has concluded. Thanks to all who attended!
