FCAT 2.0 results are out today — for the last time
6/6/2014
The Florida Department of Education today released scores for the final administration of the FCAT 2.0.
This is the last year that the FCAT will be administered; it will be replaced by a new Florida Standards assessment developed by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in the 2014-15 school year.
In Duval, as well as with other large urban school districts and state-wide, the scores were generally flat. The only exception in Duval was a 6 percentage point drop in middle school mathematics. Middle school is an area the school district and legislature are keen to focus on, with the Duval County School Board set to discuss middle school reform next week at a workshop Tuesday.
