Honoring those who serve our great country

11/11/2015

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the Jacksonville Public Education Fund would like to recognize the commitment and sacrifices of our military servicemen and women. We have the privilege of exercising our First Amendment freedoms of religion, speech, of the press, the right of people to assembly peacefully and to petition the government of grievances.

Each and every day in our local schools, there are retired and currently serving military working to ensure that our city’s children are better prepared for their future. There are also students actively participating in JROTC programs throughout the district. There are multiple paths for local students to enter the workforce— pursuing technical trades, seeking higher education and joining our nation’s military. Once again, thank you for the sacrifices of military servicemen and women.

Show your appreciation by thanking our military servicemen and women today. Check out one of our partners, Jax4Kids for family friendly activities to celebrate Veteran’s Day!
