About Valerie Mathias

Valerie grew up moving frequently across the country with her military family, but then settled in Jacksonville to attend the University of North Florida where she graduated in 2011 with a Psychology Degree.  She has actively been involved in a variety of organizations in the Jacksonville area centering around education since first coming to the city in 2007. Here's some fun facts:

I love to travel and experience new cultures!  I also enjoy any sort of outside activity.

In Valerie’s words...

I want to be a part of an organization that moves education forward, and gives each child the chance and the opportunity to go after whatever they dream.  Every child should have equal access to a high standard of education.  I want to be a part of the solution.

I move public education forward by reaching out into the community assisting and working hands-on with those who may need the most help.
