Join the efforts of "Instruments for Change"

Instruments for Change is a collection drive from now until December 19 led by Duval County Public Schools in partnership with the Jacksonville Symphony, Jacksonville Public Library, Jacksonville Public Education Fund and Florida Blue to collect new or gently used musical instruments to distribute to students in need.
The kickoff was on December 1. Community members are encouraged to drop off musical instruments at the partner organizations:

Happen to have large instruments? Large instruments should be dropped off at the DCPS Arts Office at 6736 Beach Blvd. Large instruments are tuba, sousaphone, baritone horn, baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, piano, keyboard, small drums and percussion. You can also schedule an appointment ahead of time as well. The instruments needed most are tubas, french horns, euphoniums, pianos, marimbas and xylophones.
The Jacksonville Public Education Fund believes in music education! Here’s a list of instruments we’ve all played as student musicians over the course of our lifetime:
Valerie Howard, Megan Hubbuch and Kimberly Allen played the clarinet.
Ale’ta Turner played the violin and clarinet.
Deirdre Conner played the piano and harmonica.
Daniel Snook played a recorder.
Joan Leslie played the saxophone.
Trey Csar played the piano.
Maira Martelo played the guitar.
