Learn about the DCPS Budget

3/21/2014

Duval County Public Schools is offering citizens an opportunity to provide input into the annual budget development process and the open enrollment proposal with community budget forums in every district over the next several weeks. As advocates for transparency and citizen involvement we urge you to take advantage of these forums to learn about funding priorities directly from Superintendent Vitti and School Board members and to weigh in on what is most important to you.

School funding is complex, so to help decipher where the money comes from and how it gets distributed we will offer some basic information about it during our upcoming ONE by ONE Delegate meeting scheduled for March 25th. We will also discuss school funding along with other hot topics such as upcoming changes to the school grading system and open enrollment during the meeting.

There is great momentum both inside our district and in the community for transforming our public schools to provide a high quality education for every student. Come out and be part of the movement!
