2015 Legislative session preview

3/4/2015

The Florida Legislature kicked off its 2015 session this week, and education is once again at the top of the agenda.

With students beginning to take the new Florida Standards Assessment this week - and not without some snafus - the issue of standards and accountability is not far from the minds of many.

We hope that you'll join us at the March 30 ONE by ONE community meeting (RSVP here) to learn more and share your thoughts on some of these issues.

In the meantime, you can brush up on School Grades, and see several updates about the standards on our blog.

We believe that the Legislature should enact a one-year pause in the issuance of school grades, for reasons we outline below. Do you agree? Contact your elected official using this easy tool.

See you on March 30!
