Marketplace explores the future of ed tech

6/18/2014

Marketplace, a business show distributed nationally on public radio, has begun a new series called Learning Curve that will explore the changing world of educational technology over the next year.

With MOOCs and iPads and blended learning, education is facing a transition that has the potential to forever change our view of "school." And Florida, with an impending deadline for content to be delivered electronically and the advent of online testing, is certain to be at the forefront of this change.

The series' initial story covers the growing interest of venture capitalists in the $80 million and growing ed tech market. Marketplace has also begun a timeline of major developments in classroom technology as well, with more to come.

Follow the discussion online or on Twitter. The Jacksonville Public Education Fund will also be listening and sending out links via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
