The Florida Art Education Association names Dr. Vitti as "2014-2015 Superintendent of the Year"

The Florida Art Education Association names Dr. Nikolai Vitti as "2014-2015 Superintendent of the Year" for his support for art education in Duval County schools.
Under Dr.Vitti's leadership the district has emphasized art education with equitable funding by ensuring that 106 elementary schools have at least one full-time art and music teacher. Also, there's an art or music program in every Duval County middle or high school. The district has implemented the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) Cultural Passport program for children in pre-kindergarten to fifth grade at 60 Title I elementary schools to experience three cultural events a year.
